Established in 1981

We started our family business by going to ALL of our friends and family and scrapping enough money to purchase a
store called San Altos Liquor in Lemon Grove, CA. I remember the day we took over, the whole family was excited to have
finally closed the deal, the store was ours. We did however need to get one more small detail ironed out....we had no
money left for the till!!! The seller was kind enough to loan us the money needed to get business rolling that first
day.

We have come a long way since then. We now own a store in Clairmont, in the College Area, in Santa Barbara, and wine
shop with a bistro in Del Cerro. All the stores now bare the name Keg N Bottle with the exception of the Del Cerro
Store which is the wine cellar for all the Keg N' Bottles and appropriately named K&B Wine Cellars, featuring
"grapes, hops, and fine food.

Our father no longer works, but you will find him from time to time proudly making an appearance to show off the stores
to friends. We have managed to assemble one of the, if not THE, largest selection of liquor, beer, and wine in San
Diego County. It is stacked from floor to ceiling, and in some cases that is over 20 feet high. Rolling library
ladders had to be installed for easy access. Staff had to be trained to throw and catch, because that's how we load and
sell our bottles via "air mail" (we haven't hit a customer yet) but we have broken a bottle or two along the way :)
